Jane Woolley - Medical Herbalist
Jane originally served her
apprenticeship as a herbalist alongside her
Grandmother for 10 years. Working in the background with her from the
age of 12 and becoming more involved as she grew up. All the herbal remedies
were prepared in the kitchen and the consultations were held in front room.
Following her grandmother's sudden
death 20 years ago, when Jane was only 21, she took over and continued
on the herbal medicine practice ever since.
Being a teacher with a B.A. (Hons.)
Jane realised the importance of formalising her education, knowledge and
skills. So she undertook a college course in herbalism, completing and
graduating from
The College of Natural
Therapy. This qualified her to achieve full member status of The Foundation of Natural
Therapy and membership of the
Unified Register
of Herbal Practitioners.
Jane
works in cooperation with,
rather than
in opposition to
conventional medicine, and will refer to a doctor or
another health
care
professional if indicated.
Working holistically,
she tailors
the
treatment
to the individual.
Herbal remedies are
usually
given in the form of capsules, tinctures, or as a
tea.
Jane is fully insured and offers advice and treatment for most health
problems.
