Mike has worked at Holistic-Centre.org Ltd since it opened in Neston as The Centre for Holistic Therapies in 2000 and offers Homeopathy, Shiatsu massage, Indian Head Massage and Counselling.
Mike's counselling practice has been established for seven years and he currently works in private practice and in the NHS. He has a Diploma in Counselling from COMPASS in Liverpool and has worked in universities (counselling staff and students) and the voluntary sector. He is a Registered Associate of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Mike obtained his Diploma from the School of Shiatsu, Liverpool and, in 2002 became a registered Shiatsu Society practitioner. Shortly after this he obtained his Diploma in Indian Head Massage (validated by VTCT).
Mike is a firm believer in the value of complementary therapies due to his own personal experience. Some years ago he found Shiatsu very effective in solving a long-standing health problem and in building energy and vitality. He was hooked!
Mike works with a wide variety of people giving him experience of successfully treating a wide range of differing health conditions.
He finds Shiatsu particularly beneficial in working with stress and tension and their effects such as high blood pressure, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, migraines, insomnia, anxiety and depression; as well as with physical back, neck and shoulder problems and sciatica.
Mike has a particular interest in the emotional and mental causes of physical illness and works holistically to combine his different skills in order to provide a unique tailored treatment that is appropriate & effective for each individual.
