Sally Gerrard
Sally Gerrard is a Colonic Hydrotherapist, also known as a colonic hydrotherapy/irrigation practitioner. Her pathway into holistic therapies and complementary medicine started by studying at Carlette Park college, in Eastham, Wirral where she studied Sports Therapy up to Advanced Diploma level. Sally then continued to gain qualifications in Indian Head Massage, Aromatherapy and various other forms of massage therapies.
In 2001 following further study in London she worked for Steiner, aboard cruise liners. Steiner provide a wide range of fitness instructors, therapists and health care providers aboard many of the worlds cruise liners. Sally worked for Steiner for 2 years and found this work very fulfilling and character building.
Following that and whilst working for Saks in ‘David Lloyd’ at Cheshire Oaks treating people with sport injuries Sally first became aware of colonic hydrotherapy. Having suffered with digestive system problems (bowels) and having IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) she decided to have a colonics treatment. She was so impressed with the results of the treatment and the difference it made to her life, she decided that this was the career direction she wanted to pursue.
Sally started her ‘colonics’ training in Dorset and completed it in Somerset, with ARCH (Association and Register of Colon Hydprotherapists), becoming a registered Colonic Hydrotherapist. Having worked on a self employed basis for 6 years travelling around the North West including Manchester, Warrington, Liverpool, Chester, Cheadle Hulme and Pulford, she is now employed by Essential Colonic based in Liverpool and Wirral.
Consultations with Sally include a thorough and detailed case history and treatment, assuming that there are no contra-indications (good reason that treatment would not be appropriate at that time). The treatment is then performed with complete discretion and privacy, during which time she may give dietary advice and will advise on any other measures that you may find helpful, which may include possible further colonic treatments.
Colonic Hydrotherapy is recommended to anyone looking at a cleansing affect for physical and mental wellbeing, bloating, detoxifying, IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), food intolerances, constipation, yeast overgrowth, poor digestion etc.
